Mutant Iris

Unlike Van Gogh's Irises
This one has the same color
As the others
The difference is not that striking
But there is something extra
Something most won't notice
Sets it apart
Changes the line forever

Solbourne

An angel folds her wings
So falls into the dawn
To give her glowing to the day
Give all the stars to the sun
Who comes up like bright victory
Not stolen from the sky but won
Gloriously heralded
Night's dark spells undone
Luminous aurora shines
Cold shadows on the run
Endless cycles start again
In warmth and light begun
A sailing moon in rosy clouds
This day won't be outrun

Prince of Thieves

Look out upon the world
Child
You can see why our claws grow large
Apex of the chain, no fate of lambs
The chaser, the one to charge
It takes no intelligence to stalk a plant
The cunning and patience are ours
We live by being silent death
Opportunity is never far
Take the dharma with your fangs
Remember who you are

Gifted

Arise again
Our adventure begins
All creatures astir
Spread wings for the wind
Catch the swift current
Fly with wide fins
Run for pure joy
Sun climbing within
A new gift each day
To ignore it, a sin

ICED

The weirding white woman
Has magick'd the fields
With nary a sound at all
The power of the
Spells she wields
All the world's color
Forstall'd
Eerie and pale
Your breath she steals
Soul from body
Called
Heart crystallized
Your doom she seals
You shatter as you
Fall
