Multitask
She holds her cellphone to her ear
With her shoulder
Listening, concentrating,
Stuffing bites of gelatin dessert
In her mouth
Driving.
Gots to multitask
Or you ain't alive
Enough.
I am writing poetry
And processing vitamin D
In the sun
Happy.

ReplyDeleteI only just now saw your kind and generous comment, so sorry for the late reply. The only training I had was public school, and reading a lot of poetry. What counts, I think, are the emotions distilled into one's favorite words. I hope to see your efforts in the future.:) Thank you!
