I walked a crystal forest
In company of sylphs
as mist obscured the sun and sky
To the castle of the elves
A message bourne from lords of men
To beg Elandon's aid
The orcs do mass up in the hills
Maidens stolen and slayed
My allies grant me access
The silver-bound gate swings wide
I lead my mount in the fortress
My father's father's weapon beside

ReplyDeleteOh, I love this! I'm a huge LOTR geek, & this feels like the start of an ancient, secret tale we were not privy to. Especially love the father's weapon...speaks volumes!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Cheryl. Middle Earth is vast, many tales untold. It is here an early time, when a special bond was formed between tribes of humans and elves against common enemies, and magic filled the realms.
